MetalAlert must be installed after the main oil pump but before the filter.

The most common installation is a side-stream or bypass installation. Restrictors should be installed to conserve system flow, if required. MetalAlert can be installed as an "in line" device as long as the resulting down-stream pressures are adequate to the system tasks.

MetalAlert must be positioned so the grid remains horizontal. The inlet port must be at the top however either 1/2"npt port can be used.

An isolation valve can be installed to facilitate inspection and service of MetalAlert without the need to stop the equipment.
