SERVICING:
The most common installation is a side-stream or bypass installation. Restrictors should be installed to conserve the system flow if required. Detectors can be installed as an “inline” device provided the resulting down-stream pressures are adequate for the system tasks.

MetalAlert® is suitable for most engines over 250 h.p. 

Metal Particle Detector must be installed after the main oil pump and before any filtration.

The Metal Particle Detector must be installed so the metal sensor remains horizontal.
The inlet port must be at the top however either port can be used.

An isolating valve can be installed to facilitate inspection and maintenance of the metal sensor without the need to stop the engine or equipment.
